Community Outreach
At ECWSST, we believe that being a team goes beyond the slopes and the water—it means giving back, lifting others, and being present in our community. Through our Community Outreach efforts, the ECWSST proudly supports a range of local initiatives that bring joy, comfort, and connection to those around us.
From festive floats in the Schenectady Holiday Parade to honoring service members at the Scotia Memorial Day Parade, we are proud to represent our team and our mission throughout the Capital Region.
Our annual participation in community events like Trunk-Or-Treat in Scotia gives us a chance to bring smiles to families while connecting with neighbors of all ages.
One of our most meaningful efforts is the Adopt-A-Family Program, where we partner with local schools to support families facing hardship during the holiday season. Team members shop for gifts, wrap presents, and personally deliver them—ensuring a joyful, stress-free holiday for those who need it most.
To help fund our outreach and team needs, we host a biannual Chicken BBQ fundraiser, which not only supports our season but also brings affordable, delicious meals to the community.
Our passion for sports extends to education and inclusion through our Learn-to-Ski Clinics, including adaptive sessions for individuals with varying needs. These clinics offer a safe and supportive space to experience the thrill of skiing—some for the very first time.
~At its core, ECWSST community outreach is about connection, compassion, and community spirit. We're more than a volunteer team—we’re a group of community members who care deeply about making a difference, one event, one meal, and one family at a time.
